York to the Lake District

A good private day still needs realistic timings. We plan the sightseeing, luggage, hotel collections and onward journey so the day works rather than becoming a race.
Most guest journeys run for around six to eight hours, depending on destination, traffic and the stops chosen.
Travel from York or travel to York. The published route price is the same either way.
The vehicle carries up to four guests, but passenger capacity and luggage capacity are not the same. We confirm larger luggage loads before booking.
Full sightseeing transfers include a sensible lunch stop. Meals and drinks are paid separately.
Weather, traffic, opening times and your interests may affect the exact stops. Private touring gives us room to make sensible changes.

Can the transfer run in the opposite direction?
Yes. Most routes are available in either direction at the same published group price.
Can four guests bring four large suitcases?
Not necessarily. Transfer bookings need room for luggage as well as passengers, so tell us the number and approximate size of your cases before booking.
Can we change the sightseeing stops?
Usually, yes. The published routes show what works well geographically, but we can adjust the day around interests, mobility, weather, opening times and the time available.
Are attraction tickets or lunch included?
Lunch time is built into full sightseeing transfers, but food, drinks and attraction admission are paid separately unless specifically stated.
How do airport transfers work?
Flight timings come first. We build the sightseeing safely around the required airport arrival or collection time.
Can you arrange a destination that is not listed?
